Infrared thermography of electroconductive woven textiles

چکیده
Modelling of the current density in elelectroconductive textiles is a complicated problem as they cannot be considered homogenous structures with an isotropic current distribution. This anisotropy is mainly the result of the electrical contact resistance between interlacing yarns comprising the textile. It is difficult to measure the contact resistance directly as it is often nonlinear and depends on many factors, however it can by inferred by comparing computer simulations of the power distribution in the textiles with their corresponding IR images.

Active Infrared Thermography Technique for the Non Destructive Testing of Composite Material
Delamination is one of the most common defects in laminate composite materials. To detect delaminations, different non-destructive test methods such as infrared thermography methods are currently widespread for non-destructive inspection, recommended for evaluating composite materials mostly in the active variant. The principle behind infrared thermography consists in highlighting the relevant ...

Being the closest layer to our body, textiles provide an ideal platform for integrating sensors and actuators to monitor physiological signals. We used a woven textile to integrate photodiodes and light emitting diodes. LEDs and photodiodes enable near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) systems to monitor arterial oxygen saturation and oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin in human tissue. Photodiod...

متن کاملQuantitative characterization of vapour adsorption on solid surfaces and estimation of emissivity of solids using infrared thermography
The process of adsorption of water-vapour molecules on uneven (irregular) surfaces of some solid materials at room temperature is registered by infrared camera. The pronounced "thermal flame" ("thermal fire") phenomenon developing on the samples’ surfaces is exhibited and quantitatively represented. This thermal effect ranged within an order of magnitude. 3-μm-wavelength emissivities of differe...
